Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TAMCO collects, uses, and protects information when you use our web portals and mobile applications. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what is needed to operate the Service.

01

Overview

TAMCO is a field service management platform used by electrical service teams. We process information on behalf of the organisations that engage us, and we are committed to protecting it.

In most cases your organisation is the data controller and TAMCO acts as the data processor. This Policy describes the categories of information involved and how it is handled.

02

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, role, and organisation, provided when your account is created.
  • Authentication data — encrypted passwords, two-factor authentication secrets, and recovery codes.
  • Operational data — work orders, checklists, attendance records, claims, inventory movements, signatures, and supporting photos or documents.
  • Location data — GPS coordinates captured when you clock in or out of a job site, used for geofence verification.
  • Device and log data — device type, operating system version, IP address, and access logs used for security and diagnostics.
03

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorised access;
  • Verify attendance through geofencing;
  • Generate reports, audit trails, and operational records;
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including notifications;
  • Diagnose problems, monitor performance, and improve the Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations.
04

Location data

The mobile app may request access to your device's location to record GPS coordinates at clock-in and clock-out. Location is captured only at those moments and is used to confirm whether the technician was within the job site's geofence.

We do not track location continuously in the background. You can disable location services on your device, though doing so may prevent attendance from being recorded.

05

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Within your organisation — administrators, team leads, and authorised personnel can view operational data based on their role.
  • Service providers — cloud hosting, file storage, push notification, and mapping providers that help us deliver the Service. These providers are contractually bound to handle data appropriately.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
06

Data retention

We retain operational data for as long as your organisation requires it to operate, satisfy audit requirements, or comply with applicable laws. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised in accordance with our retention schedules.

07

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive fields, role-based access control, and optional two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to security incidents.

08

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to processing or request data portability.

Because your organisation is generally the data controller, requests should usually be directed to them. We will assist your organisation in responding to your request as required by applicable law.

09

Cookies and tracking

Our web portals use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics that track you across other sites.

10

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which it was collected, including by service providers operating globally. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for cross-border transfers.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
